Margao: The anit-Mopa agitation is beginning to gain momentum in South Goa. A meeting of leaders and representatives of various anti-Mopa groups was held at Margao on Thursday with a view to mobilizing anti-Mopa forces and bolstering the movement.
At the meeting, it was decided to form a non-political umbrella organization consisting of all anti-Mopa groups with the objective of opposing the proposed Greenfield airport and retaining Dabolim as the sole airport for Goa.
Activists Jose Maria Miranda, Edwin Pinto, Floriana Lobo, and several others, expressed their views at the meeting that was attended by a sizeable number of people.
