This is what air passengers’ and airport officials asked when this newspaper tried to find out their reaction for the state Assembly’s resolution to name the new domestic terminal after former chief minister M.G. Ramachandran. As far as passengers are concerned they want better facilities whereas AAI officials want smooth running of the terminal
“Where is the question of naming the terminal again, when it is already named? The domestic terminal-1 at Chennai airport has been named after former CM Kamaraj and we have just added another terminal (II) to it.So, where does the question of renaming the extension crop up? It will only add to the confusion,” said a senior airport official.
