Hyderabad: Of late, even the smugglers carrying contrabands on their persons pass though the Green Channel at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, a passage meant for ‘gentlemen’ passengers, to escape being caught by the customs officials, sources said.
“Mostly those smugglers hide the smuggled items in the false bottoms of the baggage they carry or use other ruses like keeping gold biscuits wrapped in carbon papers”, said a senior customs official.
