Jet Airways has put on hold its plan to expand network through Munich Airport, despite having permission to start 35 new flights to the destination.
The airline has taken this decision as it is already in the midst of a stake sale deal with Etihad which has a wide network from the Munich Airport.
If Jet Air starts operating new flights to this destination, it will be a tedious process to re-align operations, if the probable deal with Etihad goes through.
Etihad owned Air Berlin ferried around 4 million passengers in 2012 from Munich, but at a time when Jet is in negotiation with Etihad, it is illogical for it to operate new flights at the airport right now.
