Consuls visit SA woman held in India

South African consular officials on Monday visited a South African woman held in Mumbai, India, for alleged drug trafficking, a Pretoria official said.
International relations spokesman Nelson Kgwete said the woman was confirmed to be a South African citizen.
"Her next-of-kin has also been informed of the arrest. She did not give permission for any further information to be shared with the media."
The woman was arrested when drugs were allegedly found in her luggage at a Mumbai airport.
"She was on her way to South Africa via Addis Ababa, flying on an Ethiopia Airlines plane," Kgwete said.
