Jet Airways rolls back decision to reduce baggage allowance

Mumbai: Jet Airways economy class passengers will be entitled to 20 kgs of baggage on domestic flights. The airline  has reversed its decision to reduce the free baggage allowance to 15 kgs within a fortnight of implementing it.
The reason behind the rollback is not known.
Earlier this month both Air India and Jet Airways reduced the free baggage allowance from 20 kgs to 15 kgs on domestic sectors. The airline charges Rs 250 per kg for the excess luggage and that fee has not been revised. Air India's baggage allowance remains the same, airline spokesperson said.
JetPrivilege members  will continue to enjoy the additional free baggage allowance  while business class passengers can carry  30 kg of free baggage allowance on Jet Airways and JetKonnect flights, the airline had announced earlier in month.
