Mockery of security: In and out of 4 airports in 3 nations with 2 live bullets

Mumbai: You might call this a slap in the face of security in these times of terror. A Delhi-based businessman, who was found with two live bullets tucked into his baggage, managed to saunter in and out of four airports in three countries over the span of last week without the cartridges being detected.
It was only at the fag end of his return trip that security officials at Mumbai airport spotted the bullets. They were found in a shaving kit in one of the bags that the businessman, Abhishek Jain, had carried on his tour to Colombo and the Maldives and back.
Jain has claimed that he carried the bullets unwittingly and inadvertently – something the police say is quite plausible.
However, the incident has set the alarm bells ringing. Security experts said this incident raises serious questions over security checks being carried out at airports in India and abroad.
