Passenger dies after mid-air cardiac arrest


Kochi: An Irish national flying on Qatar Airways flight on the Melbourne-Qatar route died after he suffered cardiac arrest mid-flight on Wednesday morning. Even though the flight made an emergency landing at Cochin airport and the passenger was rushed to a nearby hospital he was declared dead on admission.
The body of the passenger identified as Raymond Mc Morrow (68) is being kept in the hospital mortuary after embalming. The airport sources old TOI here that they have already alerted Irish Embassy on the incident and was waiting for their feedback to decide on how the body could be sent back his home. The aircraft flew back to Qatar after the off-loading the passenger, the sources said.
