Probe ordered into Srinagar airport security breach

Srinagar:  The Army has ordered an inquiry into last week's security breach at Srinagar's tightly-guarded airport, a defence spokesman said on Wednesday.
Army guards had allowed two youth, Perviaz Ahmad Dar and Mudasir Ahmad Mir, from Kupwara district to drive their car to the tarmac of the airport, which is out of bounds even for the VVIPS except the President and the Prime Minister on May 9.
The car had entered the airport via Rangreth gate that leads to its technical area. The civilian airport is accessed through Humhama that the CRPF and the J&K police man. The IAF, which controls the technical area, has ordered a separate inquiry into the breach involving the Army guards responsible for its security.
SP Uttam Chand said the police had let off the two a day later after they were convinced that they had no intention to cause any harm.
