Airport employees urges Mamata Banerjee to oppose airport privatisation

Kolkata: All employee unions of the N S C Bose International Airport here jointly formed a forum today and requested West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to write to the Union Civil Aviation ministry to oppose the move of the airport's privatisation.
The employees union alleged that the Airports Authority of India and Union Civil Aviation ministry were handing over maintenance of different facilities of the new integrated terminal building to private companies which was a precursor to privatisation of the airport.
Trinamool Congress MP Sougata Roy attended the meeting where it was decided that all employees unions would form a forum which would spearhead the move to oppose privatisation of facilities of the new integrated terminal building.
