Panaji: Goa's Dabolim airport, managed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), is running its terminal without valid consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1981 since November 2011.
Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) on Wednesday directed the airport director to apply for renewal of the consent to operate the existing terminal which expired on November 6, 2011.
GSPCB sources said they will impose a fine on AAI, Goa airport, for operating the terminal without the consents.
