Bhubaneswar: The Biju Patnaik Airport observed the World Environment Day by conducting a tree plantation drive on Wednesday.
The programme, flagged off by Airport Director Sharad Kumar, aims to plant about 8,000 different exotic and local varieties by the onset of monsoon.
Kumar and other Airports Authority of India (AAI) officials planted about 12 saplings.
