Raipur: Indigo will start operating a direct flight between Raipur to Srinagar via Delhi by mid July. The new flight is likely to cost lesser than the existing flights and give more options to the residents looking at flying to the capital.
According to Indigo officials, the daily flight would originate from Hyderabad and be Srinagar bound via Raipur and Delhi. While the flight would provide a direct connection to the scenic valley region from here, a daily connection would be added to New Delhi as well. Kirti Vyas, chairman of Chhattisgarh and MP Travel Agents Association, said that with the direct connection to Srinagar, travellers will have to pay much lesser than the existing fares on connecting flight. The cost of a ticket to Srinagar from Raipur would be between Rs 7,500 and Rs 8,000, which is Rs 2,000 less than the existing fares.
