Goa: Panchayat Minister and the Mandrem MLA Laxmikant Parsekar has termed the oppose to the Greenfield international airport at Mopa as unjust. Speaking at a public function in Arambol Parsekar said that government did not intend to create a rift between the people of North Goa and South Goa nor did it intend to close the Dabolim airport.
"The Mopa will bring about the development of the entire state and not only for the people of North Goa" Parsekar said speaking at the function.
"The central government has clear stand on Dabolim airport, if the government intended to close the Dabolim airport than government would not have spend Rs. 800 crore on the modernization of the Dabolim airport, the work of which is going on war footing" he said.
