Pune airport modernisation will affect 90 flights

Pune: After Bhatinda air base in Punjab, the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) Lohegaon air field will be modernised under a contract awarded to Tata Power’s Strategic Electronic Division (SED).
The airport will be partially closed for 3 months from 10 pm to 8 am and more than 90 flights will be rescheduled during this period.
A team from Tata will be carrying out a survey by mid-June before commencing the renovation work.
The air base, among the 30 that were given to Tata Power SED in a $240 million contract in April 2011, will have improved facilities.
