Bangalore: Executive vice chairman of city-based IT solutions and services company Infosys, Kris Gopalakrishnan said that a new airport in Southern Bangalore would help the city’s export potential.
Infosys executive chairman N R Narayana Murthy had recently said that an airport near Electronics City would be appreciated.
Gopalakrishnan said that the city has textile exports and IT services exports done and an airport in South Bangalore would help the state and its contribution to the national GDP. He said that the city is an aerospace and space research hub and a new airport would help its aspirations.
