Pune: A chopper carrying Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had to make an emergency landing near Karad in Satara district after it lost direction due to bad weather conditions on Monday morning, it is learnt. Sources said Pawar and the chopper crew were safe. The deputy DM was on a political tour of western Maharashtra. After his chopper landed near Kadegaon, he went to the Karad airport in a private vehicle and took a flight to Mumbai from there, said the sources.
