International tourist groups to get landing permits

Panaji: Goa tourism has a reason to feel buoyant.
The Union ministry of home affairs has issued a circular for granting of collective landing permits to tourists in a group of four and more, and who may be granted visa-on-arrival facility.
Travel and tourism association (TTAG) president Francisco Braganca said this was a welcome step and it would help boost Goa tourism in a big way.
In April this year, more international airports across the country, including Dabolim airport, were granted permission to offer visa-on-arrival facilities to foreign tourists, which was earlier offered at only four international airports in the country.
Braganca said visa-on-arrival facility though extended to Dabolim airport, was not applicable to foreign tourists of all nationalities. A fresh announcement by the home affairs ministry has no such reservation.
