New Delhi: Kirti Azad, former cricketer and member of the 1983 World Cup winning squad was on Saturday detained at London’s Heathrow Airport for two hours before being allowed to board a Delhi-bound flight.
Speaking to dna from Heathrow airport before boarding the flight, Azad confirmed that he had been detained and said, “It was a misunderstanding because of my name. They thought I was a Muslim.”
