Passengers stranded for hours as Jet Airways pilot falls ill

Indore: The air passengers travelling from Indore to Pune were stranded at the Indore Airport for about eight hours after the pilot of a Jet Airways was suddenly taken ill on Saturday.
According to Airport director R N Shinde, the flight number 9W 2821, which was supposed to leave for Pune at around 1.30 pm, left at 9.45 pm after its pilot was reported sick.
To much chagrin of about 25 passengers, the airport made the announcement about the cancellation of the flight after all Pune-bound passengers had cleared the security check and frisking.
"It was only after reaching the aircraft, the passengers came to know about the cancellation," said Priti Verma, 34, a passenger, who was travelling with her two-year old son Adit.
