Margao: The gram sabha of the Varca village panchayat held on Sunday adopted a resolution to oppose the proposed Mopa airport and to retain Dabolim as the sole international airport in Goa.
Voicing concern over the rise in vector-borne diseases in the village, the gram sabha demanded that the health authorities take adequate preventive measures, including fogging of mosquito breeding areas in the village.
