DGCA cells to help non-scheduled operators restart international flights

New Delhi: It could take anything from two-three days to two months before all the 44 non-scheduled air operators are in a position to restart operating their own aircraft for flights abroad.
“The number of days it will take an operator to overcome the hurdles will depend on their readiness at the moment,” a senior Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) official explained.
To expedite this process, the DGCA has created special cells to help operators overcome hurdles discovered on August 22 after an audit by an International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) audit.
