Flight delays irk frequent travellers in Indore

Indore: Frequent flyers from Indore are an unhappy lot. Besides less number of flights and lack of international flights, regular delays are only adding to their woes and frustration.
Industrialists and executives from Indore feel that the local airlines are least concerned about the problems travellers are facing while flying in and out of the city.
"Even if my flight is delayed by more than two hours, I have no other option but to wait and board the same flight in Indore. Waiting for another flight ticket would only mean an important meeting missed," says a banker and international yoga teacher, JS Bisht. He frequently travels by air in connection with holding yoga sessions.
"People do not even get their tickets cancelled for money refund here as it involves a lot of hassles," he adds.
President of an international diamond polishing firm unit at Pithampur, Subhash Mathur, says, "I travel to Mumbai on a regular basis and more often than not my flights are delayed. But, since there is no connecting flight after that particular one during evening hours, I am generally compelled to travel by the same flight. I do not even claim for refund of my tickets."
