Air India questions central government order

Kochi: The issue of regularizing casual workers cannot be treated as an industrial dispute, Air India submitted before the high court on Tuesday.
It also said that the central government treating the regularization of ground handling staff at Calicut airport was flawed. It requested the court to quash a government order referring the matter to a labour court.
The airline also pointed out that the casual workers' claim for regularization was rejected by the Madras high court, an order which was later upheld by the Supreme Court.
