Chennai: AirAsia India on Thursday announced that it has received a No Objection Certificate from the ministry of civil aviation and would apply for Air Operating Permit to kick-start its operations.
Mittu Chandilya, CEO, AirAsia India said, "We will continue with our preparations and get ourselves ready for take-off once the air operator permit is acquired. We look forward to being one of the dynamic contributors to the development of the Indian aviation industry."
Chandilya said AirAsia India was confident that it would be able to replicate the success of its counterparts in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.
