City airport officials to give a lowdown on ISO 27000 to metro counterparts

Nagpur: Due to the initiative taken by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in making it technologically advanced, Nagpur is proving to be the preferred venue for training officers from across the country. In the third week of September, the city will play host to airport officials from across the country, including cities like Delhi and Mumbai, for a two-day workshop. During this orientation programme, city officials will guide the participants on the process of making their airports ISO 27000 certified.
However, this would not be the first time Nagpur, which has a comparatively smaller airport, will be hosting officials from big cities. On August 21 and 22, a workshop was held in Nagpur for training air traffic control (ATC) officials in one of the latest technologies in Indian civil aviation - automatic dependence surveillance broadcast (ADS-B).
Officials claim both these workshops are first-of-their-kind in India.
