Kolkata: The Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) is set to execute a plan to rid the airport of its waterlogging problem.
The airport authorities had, for long, asked the state government to solve the problem. Now, the KMDA is finally ready with a Rs 63-crore project, based on inputs from Jadavpur University.
After the airpot authority has been insisting the government to solve the problem for years, finally their pleas have been heard,. Based on the inputs from experts in Jadavpur University, the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) is all set to execute a Rs 63 crore plan for the proposed storm water network to flush out rainwater accumulating in Kolkata airport to the adjoining city canals - Bagjola and Noai.
