Fewer flight delays in August than June, July

Mumbai: With hardly any rainfall in August, there has been a perceptible improvement in on-time performances in flight schedules of for domestic flights, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) data has revealed.
While there have been delays in August, these figures have shown a marked improvement compared to the monsoon months of June and July. The list of flights delayed more than 20% of the time was shorter for August compared to the previous two months.
Among departures, AI 651 to Raipur was late 28 out of 31 times while Jet Airways 9W 2105 to Bangalore was delayed 26 out of 31 times. The civil aviation regulator collects data on flights that were delayed on more than 20 percent occasion in a month.
