In the meeting, the chief minister and the Maharashtra Airport Development Company officials discussed ways to speed up land acquisition for the Pune, Navi Mumbai and Juhu airports.
"The meeting discussed land acquisition of Pune airport,'' said Pune Divisional Commissioner Prabhakar Deshmukh. Though he was not present in the meeting, he said that state officials attended the meeting and discussed various projects in the state.
MADC officials said in the meeting the Prime Minister asked the state officials to speed up the pending proposals. "We have been told that land acquisition process has to be worked out,'' said the MADC official.
