AI Dreamliner develops flight control snag, passengers stuck in Melbourne

Boeing's unending troubles with the new B-787 Dreamliner are now leaving Air India passengers in a lurch.
On Sunday, AI's Melbourne-Delhi flight (AI 311), with 190 flyers on board, had to return to the Australian city after take off as it reportedly developed a flight control snag.
"The aircraft had to return to Melbourne due to a snag. All passengers have been put up in hotels and will be flown to Delhi by next flight."
Directorate General of Civil Aviation is going to probe this latest snag and is awaiting the aircraft's maintenance report.
This is the second trouble AI is facing with the Dreamliner this month.
About a fortnight ago, another Dreamliner's belly panel had flown off before landing in Bangalore on a flight from Delhi.
Sources say shortage of spare parts is adding to AI woes as replacements take long to come from the US.
