Airports Authority of India to seek support against privatisation

Chennai: Airport employees have been known to stand in front of the airport office raising slogans against the management in protest.
On Monday, they moved right into the administrative and raised slogans against privatisation. They are also planning to rope in the support of passengers at the airport.
“Next week, we will distribute pamphlets to the passengers with details like user development fees charged at various airports in the country and inform them that, if privtaised, flying from Chennai airport would become expensive,” said L. George, secretary of the Joint Forum of Union and Association of Airports Authority of India (AAI).
According to him, the joint forum is keen on stopping the bidders from going around the airport premises on Tuesday.
