The aviation safety regulator Thursday initiated an inquiry into procedural lapses that could have caused a collision between a passenger aircraft and an Indian Air Force plane at the IGI airport here.
According to a senior official with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), an investigation has been ordered into the incident that occurred Wednesday afternoon around 2.30 p.m.
The official said the investigation will look into the incident in which a Go Air's Airbus A320 aircraft was taking off for Mumbai and saw an Indian Air Force plane crossing the same runway.
