Ahmedabad: What if you booked tickets for an Air India flight, checked-in on the internet and later at the airport found that you had mistakenly booked seats in a plane chartered by the Army. This is exactly what happened with six people - four of whom are from Ahmedabad - who had booked tickets during their trip to Leh in June this year on a Leh-New Delhi Air India flight.
Ashish Sharma and his five friends had booked six tickets on June 24, 2013 through Air India's website and even got confirmation for flight A-13450 on June 27, 2013. All of them did an internet check-in on June 26. However, when they arrived the next day to catch the plane at Leh airport, Air India officials told them that such a flight does not exist and they had mistaken booked tickets in the Army's chartered plane.
"Air India had even accepted that there was mistake on their side but they couldn't arrange for seats for us by some other flight," said Sharma who is a chief manager in an MNC.
