Margao: Former PWD Churchill Alemao came down heavily on Navelim MLA and AICC general secretary Luizinho Faleiro and South Goa MP Fransicco Sardinha for their "double speak" on the Mopa airport issue, but expressed satisfaction over their stance in favour of Dabolim "at least now".
"Nearly eight years ago, I had launched this agitation against any plans of a second airport, but at that time I was berated, ridiculed and misunderstood. Both Faleiro and Sardinha chose not to support the agitation then, but I am happy that realization has now dawned on them, though belatedly, that Mopa would spell trouble for Goans," Alemao said while addressing mediapersons on Wednesday.
