Mumbai: A flyer was intercepted at Mumbai airport on Monday for attempting to smuggle in gold from Sri Lanka. He had concealed the gold in his rectum to hoodwink the Air Intelligence Unit of the Customs. He was intercepted on suspicion. The accused is an Indian who had flown in from Colombo. The flyer, whose name was withheld by AIU, was detained for checks. The metal detector gave him away. When quizzed, he confessed to carrying a gold bar in his rectum.
