GoAir charts 'Vision 2015' plan to scale new heights

Mumbai: Even as India's biggest carrier IndiGo is being celebrated as the beacon of hope for Indian aviation, the country's smallest airline, too, has quietly been improving its finances, turning around and expanding operations that were once mostly limited to Delhi and Mumbai.
The Wadia Group-controlled GoAir had its best quarter ever in April-June after posting a net profit last financial year. The carrier has also drawn up plans for the next 3-5 years, which includes a brand new business class product, connections to various tier II cities and a cautious but firm overseas operations plan.
"Our approach has always been a very cautious. We don't target to be the biggest. We want to have a reasonable sustainable approach," Giorgio De Roni, CEO, GoAir, told ET in an interview, speaking about his plan which he calls 'Vision 2015'.
