Nagpur: Re-carpeting of Nagpur airport runway might result in cancellation of two IndiGo flights that operate during block timing of 10.30 am to 4.30 pm. The two flights are flight 6E 135 Nagpur-Pune that departs at 11.15am and flight 6E 196 Nagpur-Delhi via Mumbai that takes off at 1.20pm.
The airline officially maintains it has not arrived at a decision yet and that the matter is under consideration. This delay seems strange since the airline has already effected a change in some other flights from Nagpur airport for changes to happen in January 2014 following a notice to airmen (NOTAM) issued at Pune. As the re-carpeting work begins on December 15, if the airline does cancel the flights, passengers already booked on the flights will have to be informed sufficiently ahead so they can make alternative arrangements.
