M'lore airport loses glory, slips to 27th

New Delhi: In a free fall, Mangalore airport sunk to the 27th position from top ten in a span of six months but Hubli airport maintained its ranking along with an impressive increase in score, according to an official survey.
The bi-annual Customer Satisfaction Survey conducted by Airports Authority of India (AAI) in 52 small airports with less than 15 lakh passengers a year put Jodhpur (4.69) and Chandigarh (4.67) at the top upstaging Bhubaneswar and Varanasi, who were fliers’ favourites in the first half of 2013.
Mangalore, which was positioned ninth along with Srinagar airport in the survey conducted in the first half of this year with a score of 4.68 out of five, has slipped to 27th position with a score of 4.12 in the survey conducted in the second half of this year.
Hubli airport was ranked 19th with a score of 4.36, maintaining the ranking but increasing its score from 3.31.
