Panaji: : The new integrated terminal building will be inaugurated on December 3, 2013, and the new expanded terminus will be operational within 13 days.
This was confirmed by M Suresh, director at the Dabolim airport. "The confirmation came from the civil aviation ministry that the inauguration will be held on December 3, 2013," he said.
While chief minister Manohar Parrikar had given a probable date, Rajya Sabha MP Shantaram Naik said that airports and related subjects are included in the Union list and not within the state government's ambit.
Chief minister Manohar Parrikar had stated last week that the soft opening of the new integrated terminal building will be done on December 19, if the civil aviation ministry and other authorities approved it.
