New Delhi: Two passengers have been arrested at the airport here for allegedly trying to smuggle into the country gold bars worth Rs 73 lakh.
The duo had boarded separate flights from Riyadh and Singapore via Hong Kong. They were intercepted by customs officials upon their arrival here on Thursday.
Altogether 25 gold bars weighing 2.6 kgs have been recovered from them which were concealed in clothes worn by them, a custom department official said.
