Zero wait policy for airport land

Navi Mumbai:  The state government has set in motion the process of land acquisition for the proposed international airport, sources said.
City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) managing director Sanjay Bhatia, joint managing director V Radha, the collector from Raigad and the settlement commissioner held a meeting on Monday to discuss the acquisition and allotment of 22.5% of developed land. They also decided on a "zero wait time" policy when assigning exchange plots.
"Villagers will not only get the allotment letter but also the plot number when their land is acquired. The developed land given to them will be at Pushpak Nagar. We have already tendered the infrastructure and development work," sources at Cidco said.
