Drug-pusher arrested, 10 kg heroin worth Rs 40 crore seized

New Delhi:  In the second major seizure of heroin in the city this month, the crime branch has arrested one person with 10kg of the drug valued at Rs 40 crore.
Although a part of this consignment was to be peddled at rave parties on the city's outskirts, most of it was to be sent to south India, en route to Colombo, police said.
The drug mule was trapped at New Delhi station with the railway police's help after a team led by DCPs Bhisham Singh and Zile Singh traced him using technical surveillance and local intelligence, said Ravindra Yadav, additional commissioner of police (crime branch).
The accused, Mohammad Dharick (35), is a resident of Sivaganga in Tamil Nadu and has been booked under Section 21 of the NDPS Act.
