Chennai: An early morning flight to Hyderabad in unusually pleasant weather turned out o be a long-drawn experience for passengers who were booked to fly on picejet flight SG 912. Owing to a last minute technical snag that the plane developed, passengers remained in the aircraft for over two and a half hours efore being shifted to the next scheduled flight.
According to a passenger on the flight, they had checked in at 6 am and were sked to board the flight at 6.40 am and things appeared to be on track - the lane was originally slated to take off at 7.10 am from Chennai and reach Hyderbad an hour later. However, even at 7.45 am, flight crew responded to nxious passenger queries that there was a "slight" issue and they would fly ithin 10 minute. Finally, at 8.40 am, the captain announced that owing to a technical snag the plane would not be fit to fly and alternate arrangements were being made for the passengers.
