Sri Lankan smuggling in gold inside his rectum arrested at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

Mumbai: Airport customs officials arrested a Sri Lankan who was trying to smuggle in six pieces of gold weighing over 700gms inside his rectum, at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) on Sunday morning. The seized gold has been valued at over Rs17 lakh in the open market.
The Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) officials of the airport customs department have identified the accused as Mohammed Manfous. He was apprehended after arriving from Singapore in a Jet Airways flight.
