Margao: Independent MLA and Goemkar convener Vijai Sardesai criticized the speech given by chief minister Manohar Parrikar at the inauguration of the new Dabolim terminal by the civil aviation ministry.
"It was shocking that the Goa chief minister chose to bat for Mopa (airport) ironically at the inauguration of the new Dabolim terminal," said Sardesai, in a statement issued late Tuesday evening.
" The advantage of the hasty inauguration, perhaps to circumvent the model election code of conduct which could be applicable by the time the terminal was fully complete, was lost by the Congress, when none could reply to the chief minister's politically bullying speech," added Sardesai.
