Pune: Private carriers Jet Airways and Indigo have announced the launch of three new daily flights that will link Pune with Vadodara (Baroda), Kolkata and Delhi from January 15.
Jet Airways will operate the Pune-Vadodara via Indore flight while Indigo will start Pune-Kolkata and Pune-Delhi flights. Indigo has also revised the timings of its Pune-Chennai flight in view of the partial closure of the runway at the Lohegaon air field.
Gaurang Shetty, Jet Airways' senior vice-president (commercial), said, "The link to Vadodara via Indore has been spurred by the increased flow of tourist and business traffic to and from Vadodara."
Jet Airways will operate an ATR 72-500 aircraft on the Pune-Indore-Vadodara route.
