Ahmedabad: As many four flights heading to Ahmedabad had to be diverted, while several others were delayed due to dense fog in the city on Wednesday. According to Airport Authority of India (AAI), Ahmedabad has not witnessed such dense fog in years as it did on Wednesday.
Air India flight AI 130 from Mumbai to Ahmedabad had to fly back to Mumbai due to bad weather conditions while AI 019 Delhi to Ahmedabad was also diverted to Mumbai. Similarly, the only direct flight between Chennai and Ahmedabad Air Costa 614 from Chennai was diverted to Jaipur, whereas Indigo 154 Bangalore to Ahmedabad was sent to Vadodara.
