Kochi: Cochin International Airport Ltd (Cial) is set to launch a host of facilities, including an 18-hole golf course and an aviation security training institute, on February 1.
The foundation stone for the new 15-lakh sq ft international terminal complex to be built at the airport will also be laid on the day. The other facilities to be inaugurated on the day include a warehouse for duty-free items, a solar power unit and an integrated airport management system.
The proposed golf course will be an expansion of the existing golf course developed with an investment of Rs 15.50 crore. Consisting of eight fairways and one driving range, this will be one of the longest golf courses in the country, officials said. Its driving range will be 300 yards long and 120 yards wide.
