Jaipur: The customs officers at Jaipur airport have solved the mystery behind the abandoned 3 kg gold found in the bin at arrival lounge here on Saturday. The officers have arrested a senior supervisor of Air India Express in connection with assisting a passenger to smuggle gold outside the airport. The accused was identified as Sameer Nigam (45), senior supervisor at the clearance department of national carrier. Taking advantage of rare checking of Air India officials by the customs department, the officer thought to make some quick money by helping people smuggle gold safely from the airport. The supervisor was picked up on the basis of his frequent visit to the washroom where gold was found.
