Mumbai: An employee of a courier firm has been arrested for stealing a gold consignment worth Rs 70 lakh and then trying to cover up the act by falsely claiming that he had been robbed by fake cops.
The Kherwadi police are now looking for his co-worker who was part of the plot and who fled with the loot, around 2.5 kg of gold.
The arrested suspect has been identified as 32-year-old Dilip Das, while the one absconding has been named as Manish Mishra. They worked for New Bharat Air Company, which collects consignments from the airport and delivers them across the city.
